Tara is a general psychologist and endorsed counsellor who works Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and fortnightly Saturdays and is currently taking on new therapy and assessment clients. Tara provides support to individuals aged 17 and above. Tara’s therapeutic style draws from a person-centred approach – facilitating the individual’s growth through unconditional positive regard, genuineness, and empathy.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Tara feels privileged to provide support to individuals navigating their own unique journey. Guided by a person-centered approach, Tara believes that the individual is the expert in their life and therefore can navigate their own path and use available resources with the gentle guidance of the therapist. Tara adopts evidence-based frameworks including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), schema therapy and trauma-informed practise. Tara aims to provide a warm, authentic, and safe space for individuals to feel heard; to express themselves freely and develop the necessary skills they need to enhance their life. Tara has experience with diverse clients and ages across not-for-profit organisations, private practice, and education settings. Tara is experienced with anxiety, depression, life adjustments and transitions, self-esteem and resilience, and supporting neurodivergent individuals. Tara is open to working with all individuals who feel may be a good fit. Tara enjoys pasta, pilates, yoga and aerial, camping and rainy stay-at-home days.
